A Thousand Words

I have many pictures of my children. I take the mandatory pictures at different events, such as birthdays, trips, holidays, etc.. The majority of my pictures, however, are just really random pictures that I find hilarious or way adorable. After looking through these pictures, I have found out something about myself. My random/comedic pictures are usually at times when my children are doing something wrong or need something. I should've been, at the exact moment that these pictures were taken, doing something totally different. I should've been wiping off hands or reprimanding for a wrong doing. But, what was I doing? Taking the full advantage of the photo opportunity. Then, after taking the pictures, I would take care of the task at hand. I didn't have a story or anything to go along with my works of art, but thought that they were too good to pass up sharing with everyone reading this blog, along with my commentary ofcourse.

The Breakfast DogAbove, we have a photo taken at breakfast time. It appears that Will is eating something like pancakes in his highchair. Lily is underneath his chair eating the things that he throws on the floor for her. Evidently, there is no need for a dog in our family.


The Nasty Hand Here is a classic photo of William. He didn't want to eat dinner, so he stood up in his highchair and was playing. He slipped and caught himself with his hand in his food. He didn't like that.

Ah, the buff. Here is Will after taking a bath. Our window was open in our room and William heard Grandpa outside cutting the grass. He dropped his towel and ran to see "Pa Pa". I ran for the camera.

The Lost and Found Krystin called and asked if we wanted to come over for lunch. I had to do may hair and then get Lily up from her nap and get her dressed. We're ready to go. Wait a minute, where's Will??

So Funny I have a love for this picture. It puts into view the personality that so many people aren't able to see with Lily since she's very reserved. She's coming out of her shell and it's so fun! She was so happy.

The Hogle Zoo Cup

I guess there's not really a funny story to go along with this picture. I have an attachment to it because we got him this cup when he was a newborn. We all went with Grandma and Aunt Carrie and her kids to the zoo and got this as a souvenir. Now, he's drinking out of it!

The Shirt Matt loves this shirt he's wearing. It reads "Call a Vet Because These Puppies are SICK". Here is William flexing his muscles like the boy on his shirt.

The Tantrum
William was probably upset that I did something or another with the bubble machine in the form of a hippo on the table. He threw himself on the floor. I find this picture very amusing. Also, potential for some sort of blackmail later on in life. Nah, I wouldn't do that....

Where an Adult Can Be a Kid

We have found the new slogan for Chuck E. Cheese! Yes, I realize that the pictures that I have posted with this message contradict what I'm saying. But, who wants to see Matt and me playing games at Chuck E. Cheese when you can see our adorable children instead?

On "TWO"sday, April 22, William turned 2. I thought that was real special. I was going to say "try saying it ten times fast" and then I tried it and it wasn't that hard. Anyway, our family went to celebrate at Chuck E. Cheese. Will loved it! We spent most of our tokens on this contraption above. Will called Chuck over and over again. You can dial his number and he talks to you. After finding this wonder, Will was a little possessive and was mad and would throw a fit any time someone else wanted to play. Ah, sweet memories. Too bad I didn't get a picture of that.

I had William and Matt had Lily. After a while of putting up with William's attitude, I went to find Matt and switch. Where was Matt? Playing basketball, one handed, while holding Lily. It all went down hill from there. Will enjoyed talking with Chuck and then he had to walk around with Mom and Dad while Mom and Dad did fun stuff. Since then, we have decided, that we need to go to Chuck E. Cheese without the children sometime. Hence, the slogan "Where an Adult Can Be a Kid".

Don't worry, I promise that our babies had fun. Here's the proof that Lily got to ride in a car with a crazy looking guy in it. She actually loved it. Will also loved playing the basketball game with Matt. They all lived happily ever after.

The Crazy World in Which I Live

Don't worry. I took this picture while I was stopped at a gas station. I think, I don't remember a Lowe's being anywhere near the bp I get gas at. Anyway, I just needed to announce to the world that for the past month, almost, I have been the mother of two 1 year olds. No, I don't have twins. This period of time is almost to an end. William's second birthday is tomorrow. We are excited to take him to Chuck E. Cheese for his first time. It'll be so much fun. I really can't believe how fast time goes by. At the same time, I can't fathom the fact of them ever growing up because it seems like a day lasts forever! I deal with things that I'm sure every mother has to deal with. Children that won't eat what you give them. Children that can't eat enough of the food you give them. Children that scream at the top of their lungs because they're up and they want you to know it. Children that just sit and play in bed after a nap and when you go to check on them because they've been in bed forever, you wonder how long they've been up. Children that throw temper tantrums. Children that run away from you in a public place (which to the courtesy of Will, I was able to experience that today). I love how other moms just laugh at those moments as well... it's because the mother's know or just happy it's not them. There are certain times in my day where I just want to scream and pull my hair out. But, there are also certain times of my day that I look at William and Lily and think what, not only my world, but the world in general would be like without their little faces. They are special beings that I need to take care of and teach. I deal with all of the crazy things that I listed without hesitation above. I also have the priviledge of having the children that give me kisses and hugs. Children that get so excited when a plane goes by so he can tell me there's a "pla". Children that smiles so big when she knows that she's communicating. Children that come to ME when they get hurt because no matter what it is, my love makes it a little better. I am really excited to have William's birthday tomorrow and to have fun with him. I'm also just a little sad at the fact that although my babies are still young, my time is running out to spend with their little spirits. They bring Matt and me so much joy. Even though I live in the crazy, crazy world of motherhood, there's no where else I would want to be.

Book Club for May!

So ladies... It's time to start our book club. I have volunteered to do it for May. The book I have chosen is Austenland by Shannon Hale. It's a wonderful book. A great love story and very entertaining. I won't tell you too much because I'll want to discuss this at the meeting! I think that it's really an easy read. It's only 194 pages or something like that. I have decided to do it on the last Tuesday of May, which it the 27th. I figured that Tuesday night will be best. I wanted to take into account FHE and Wednesday night activities and such. Just in case there are some teens that want to be apart of the book club, like Hannah or Savannah, then I would recommend Jennifer reading it first. I think I already told you that. It's an adult novel, as opposed to a youth novel, but I don't think it has anything bad. If you're interested in doing this then give me a call and I'll let you know where we're going to meet and what time. I feel a little nervous about putting that kind of info on the internet. Or even if Tuesdays are bad, then let me know too. But, I thought that it will give everyone plenty of time to find the book and to read it! I'm super excited about this!! I hope you guys are too!!

Easter 2008 Recap

These pictures above were taken on the Saturday before Easter during our family Easter egg hunt. We had it at Grandma and Grandpa Neely's house. Everyone had so much fun. My sister Jamie took pictures for us so that we could help William and Lily. Thanks Jamie! Happy Belated Easter everyone!!

So, I'm trying to figure out all the ins and outs of blogging. I found out that I can upload a video and I thought that this one was so cute. William loves this song. Actually, he was "singing" it this morning and doing the motions. He's so fun.

Happy Abby Cadabby Birthday!

March 31st was Lily's birthday! She's already one! Can you believe it? It feels like yesterday that I had her. No, it SEEMS like yesterday that I had her. If it felt that way, I probably wouldn't be doing this right now... Anyway, we had an Abby Cadabby birthday party for her the Friday before her birthday. Abby Cadabby is from Sesame Street, which Lily loves. Abby's a newer character. All the party things that had her on it were pink, so ofcourse, it was perfect for Lily's party. It was a lot of fun. We just had family come over to open presents and eat yummy cake. I won't bore you with my "proud parent" pictures of different angles of her opening every present, but I thought I would share some with all of you guys. These are some of my faves.
