A Good One

Eclipse is my favorite book in the Twilight Saga. I've been SUPER excited that this movie was coming out. But, also not excited because the Twilight movies have yet succeeded to impress me. Yes, I own them and watch them. But, honestly, they're terrible movies.
I had the opportunity to get tickets to a premiere yesterday because my neighbor is a real estate agent and got a whole theater and had drawings. So, yesterday at 5:00 Carrie, Mom, Stephanie, Brittany, and myself laid eyes upon Edward. I mean, Eclipse.
It was so much fun to go to this premiere and 3 out of 5 of us won prizes! Carrie and I won $25 dining gift cards and Brittany won a never before released necklace that was designed by the same guy that designed the official "Bella's Bracelet". It was a blast.
After getting something to eat, Britts and I headed to our next destination: Eclipse at midnight.

Now, like I have said before I have yet to be impressed by these movies. I love them because I love the books. But, I must say, I really enjoyed this movie! It was really close to the book and had all the things that I loved about the book in it. The acting was a lot better too. Don't get me wrong, there are still some corny and random parts, but seriously, compared to the others, Eclipse is golden.
I had SO much fun yesterday going to see these. Now, I have to see it at least one more time with my hubby. He won't admit it, but I know he really wants to see it!

Lily Vs. Mama

Besides giving birth to Lily and waking up at all hours of the night to keep her alive and well, potty training this little rascal has been the hardest thing in parenting her I've EVER done. We're still not 100% there. #2 is still a kick in the pants for her and we haven't gotten it done. I want to just reverse it all and bring diapers back into our lives, but I don't really want to at the same time. We're starting in on week 3 of this potty training drama. I hope it ends soon.

And Day Four...

She has clothes on today!!! Underwear AND shorts. It's a great day. Lily is now to the point where she tells me when she needs to go. Our only obstacle is the #2 issue. Which is weird because she has already done that in the toilet. Maybe it's just letting go of everything at once. But, now, #2 is the goal! If she does that, she gets the toy elephant she wants. Here's hoping it's soon.

Training - Day 3

So, no more diapers has resulted in no more underwear. I think sometimes Lily likes that a little too much. We have only had a total of 3 accidents in the past 3 days and we're still going strong. Maybe this is the real deal. Although, maybe we should go through a full day wearing underwear before I get too happy.

Black Thumb

Yes, these are our poor flowers from our awesome FHE activity. Some people have the wonderful green thumb and I am jealous of those people. Why? Because I look down at my thumb and see nothing but the black thumb. The thumb of death. The thumb that makes all plants cry out for the loving green kind. You can see what they used to look like here. That was before I got anywhere near them. My neighbors know better than to ask me to water plants while they're out of town. Because I murder their plants.

I try. I really do. As much as I wish I could be, I am no mother to nature.

It's a wonder that my children are still alive.

Over A Week Late

Our Memorial Day was actually a pretty good one, considering that we had to go to a family reunion and learn to sing "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" in Swedish, which I didn't even pay attention to. After we went to the family reunion, we went to two cemetery's.

The pictures above are in the American Fork Cemetery where Matthew's grandma and great-grandparents on Darrell's side are buried. These were taken in front of Grandma Townsend's grave. Lily was interested in the Beck's gravestone because her great-great-grandma's name is Lillie too.
We also went to the Alpine Cemetery. Unfortunately the pictures that I took there didn't load because of the glitch in my camera. Time for a new one, no? We saw the gravestone of a relative named John W. Vance who was killed by an Indian in defense of the saints. I thought it was pretty cool. It had a pioneer plaque on it and everything. I think I've been too bummed out about my pictures to actually post about Memorial Day. But, it was a good one and a great experience to see these gravestones.
