"Hey, Candace, I can spell the alphabet," Tegan said to me this morning.
"No way!" I countered.
"Uh-huh. I can even spell my mom's name," she answered.
At this point in time, I was kind of impressed because although her mom's name, Amy, isn't that difficult to spell, that's a pretty big milestone. I listened intently.
"D-A-D," Tegan said, proudly.
"That's not mom, D-A-D spells dad," I explained, laughing to myself.
Tegan was quiet, then said:
"Guess what Candace! I can spell dad."
