Photogenic

When we were packing for our move, I found a camera that I had about 10 years ago. I gave it to William because he's always wanting to take pictures with our camera. While we were traveling to Utah, I was taking pictures here and there and so Will had to pull out his camera too. So, here are some pictures of Will taking pictures.
Will taking a picture of me taking a picture of him taking a picture of me....
Here is the start of the funny pictures. I was trying to get a cute picture of Lily and Dad. I didn't even notice Will was in the background until I looked at them all after I took them.

Still taking pictures

I finally got Lily to cooperate and got this cute picture of Lily and Dad. And Will.

This is what Will looks like behind the camera.

What can I say? The camera loves him. Or.. he loves the camera.

The 12 Joys of Moving to Utah

Sidenote: Sing this to the tune of the 12 Days of Christmas. That's how I envisioned it anyway!

When we moved to Utah, these 12 Joys came to me...
12 Apostles smiling
11 Boxes in Storage
10 LDS neighbors
9 Townsend Siblings
8 Cousins to Play with (for William and Lily)
7 Jello Dishes
6 Local Temples
5 MINUTES FROM FAMILY
4 Seconds from Church
3 British Ladies
2 Huge Bathrooms,
and Roast Beef and Yorkshire Puddings (which are Delicious!)

By the way, we're all doing pretty good. I hope that you all are too. I hope to be getting into the blogging groove soon and we'll be up and running again. We love you all!

Long Time, No Type

Hello from the great state of Utah! I have a great post in the works, but I just wanted to update. I miss the blogging part of my life. As of right now, Matt and I don't have Internet. Or a computer. It's all in the works.
Anyway, I thought I would share with you all that we're doing great! Our apartment is in order and I hope to have some pictures up soon. We have wonderful neighbors, who are very friendly. They know Matt, which is absolutely NO surprise. We're having fun with the fam. It's good to see everyone.
My mom and dad are in town, staying with Carrie. It's nice to have them out here. Although, I think William has associated Carrie's house with my mom and dad. I guess we'll see how that turns out.
Matt has gotten a job that will pay him well. His uncle works at Kennecot (the copper mines) and has been so great as to lend a hand out to Matt. Matt's going to start work next week, which is SUCH a blessing.
William and Lily are adjusting. It's still been pretty hard. Lily has been taken out of her safe environment, so she's had a difficult time. I'm sure it will all work out in the end. Both of them are getting used to Matt's family out here also.
I LOVE our apartment. It's been so much fun decorating and getting things in order. It's just amazing. I think our place is nice. I'm excited for people to come see it. The only thing I don't like about it is that the carpet smells like a dog. We've been trying to make it better though, and I think it has.
Well, that's pretty much it! I wanted everyone to know that we're doing okay! Keep a look out for my awesome post.

I'm REALLY Not Good at This

Sidenote: This may be boring. If it is, I refer you to the title.

Matt and I have known for about 5 months that we were moving to Utah. I cried a few times about it and then just left it at that. I got to work trying to get things in order for it and with two children, my mind has been more than occupied. It's only been the last couple of days that the tiny breakdowns have been sneaking up on me. I haven't allowed my mind to go to certain things and different events have brought them to the surface.
Sunday, we had a surprise party! Krystin pulled together a surprise party with our family, for us! It was so much fun. We had dinner and visited with family. We received this super cool poster too. It has a candy note on the back. I should have written it down so I could put what it said on here, but too late because, guess what? It's packed! I held it together pretty well. No tears. That's not to say that I wasn't sad. It just hadn't hit me yet. I still don't think it's hit me totally. Cute, huh?
I visited with my 92-year-old Grandmother on Monday. William loves her and I think it has something to do with the fact that she gives him m&ms. Lily had a harder time at first, but she warmed up to Grandmother and gave her hugs and kisses. After we left, I had the first of my tiny breakdowns.
Yesterday was Savannah's 13th birthday! It was fun to go and spend more time with family. The Richardson's are so fun. I have loved getting closer to them and both of my kids love them! We had cake and ice cream and Savannah opened presents. We gave hugs and we left. -#2 of my tiny breakdowns when we got to the car.

Party on, Savannah, party on.

Here is Matt and Lily at Savannah's party. I couldn't help but to put it on here. I thought it was a good picture of them.

Last night, after we went to Savannah's party, we went to see Grandmama. It was great to visit with her and my kids love her. We got to take the red rocking chair that's in the picture home with us too. It's perfect size for Lily. Uncle Don and Aunt Lynda joked around with us, so it was a little easier saying goodbye.

We are leaving tomorrow, so I'm not sure when I'll be able to get another post up. But, Tennessee has been great for us and I know that there are so many reasons for coming out here. I won't put a list because I'm sure people are bored of this post. I know that we're supposed to move to Utah and we'll have reasons reveal themselves to us as they come, I'm sure.

Honestly, Matt and I really aren't good with saying "goodbye". Is anybody, really? I have so many mixed emotions, it's kind of hard to force myself to feel one feeling at a time. Does that make sense? I'm not sure the overwhelming outburst of tears will come until we're out in Utah and my parents aren't there. I guess we'll see.

I am going to miss my family. They are amazing people and my best friends. It's going to be hard to leave them. I'm not one to put my heart out on the line, but if walls could talk, you would all know how much I love you and will miss you. We'll miss our friends out here too. Fortunately, some of both parties are going to be moving to Utah soon!

A Glimpse of Lily

None of you have heard about Lily in a while. How is she doing? She's as hilarious as ever. I have actually been able to get her to keep a hair bow in her hair about 2 hours a day, which is a BIG improvement. She's been talking more and more and she's into everything that Will is. She likes golf and cars. But, her true love is Winnie the Pooh. She has 2 Pooh bears and she loves any other kind of stuffed animals too. She's such a fun and sweet little girl. I love her like crazy!
I have a collection of four pictures below. You can tell with 3 out of 4 pictures that she's a pacifier girl. Anyway, I wanted to give you a glimpse of what makes me get up every morning.... with her wailing and screaming. Miss Sassy
She's such a pretty lady.
AH!
Okay, I couldn't help myself. I laugh every time she does this face. This is the face Lily makes when she shows people her food and she wants to see what you have in your mouth too. I don't know where she got that from.

Lily and Jennifer

This is Lily and my sister, Jennifer. I had to get a picture of them together because Lily absolutely Loves Jennifer, and I'm pretty sure the feelings are mutual. Anytime Jennifer comes over, Lily cuddles with her and loves her. When she leaves our house, Lily cries. Sometimes Lily even expects to leave with Jennifer.
I don't even know what to say about this picture, but my stomach hurts from laughing so hard.

Proud Parent Moment

Alright, now, I know that I just posted a video of William up yesterday. But, I had to post this today. Will was in the bathroom with me today while I was fixing my hair and he just started to count all by himself! AH! He counted to 6. Can I just say that I love this part of his life? It's so fun to get to know him and to talk to him and have him talk back. I've learned so much about him the past couple of months. Will's favorite color is yellow. His favorite number is 6, and he recognizes it in stores and on television, anywhere really. He likes the letters X and W. I don't know why, but he does! I'm learning a lot from him and I absolutely love teaching him new things about the world. Will's an awesome little boy. Sometimes it just hits me hard and my blog is my outlet today.

I hope you enjoy this video. I kind of had to coax it out of him at first. I love how he says, "fur" just so matter-of-factly. He's so dang cute!

You'll have to pause the music so you can hear it! Sorry!
