Our "Choo-Choo" Tree

Translation of Title: Our Christmas Tree.
When we moved, I realized that we had left our Christmas tree and ornaments and the liking in Tennessee in my parents barn. I was pretty sad about this because I LOVE Christmas and every year, we have the tradition to pick out new ornaments for our tree. So, my sweet mother and father and brother, Jeremy, made it possible for our Christmas things to be shipped out to Utah! We decided that we would buy a new tree -no need for the other to be shipped out here. We have an apartment that wouldn't have space for a big tree anyway. So we went with a 3 footer. It's kid sized. William and Lily LOVE it! They had so much fun decorating it. Every now and then, William will come and jab one of the ornaments with his finger so that it will fall off the tree. "Oh no (insert color of the ornament)!!" he would say. Then he proceeds to pick it up and put it on the tree again, usually in the same place it was. He can't leave it alone. It's pretty funny.
Matt helped Lily put her ornaments up and some others up. She didn't get as into it as William did, but I know next year they will both be old enough to really enjoy it.
I'm excited for the Christmas season.

We love your tree. Even if Raven asks why it's so small. Your kids are so cute. I'm so glad Lily is keeping her hair back, too! I'll cross my fingers (and toes) that she's gonna keep it up!

I think a kids size tree is brilliant. I remember tying our tree to the wall so little ones couldn't pull it over. I'm glad you're excited for Christmas. Too bad you're not here. It's time to wrap presents!
